Redeemer Church Family Fun Photos-- {Coon Rapids Event Photography}
The pastor at my church emailed me a few weeks ago with an idea that I couldn't pass up, even though the event in question fell in the first couple weeks of Grad School. Redeemer is currently doing a series on the importance of family, and wanted to do something unique to celebrate the families in our congregation-- a silly family photo booth on site during a normal Sunday service.
It was so much fun to photograph an event where I basically showed up with camera in hand and used their backdrop and props. My husband was working at a show downtown, so Noah had to hang out with Mommie and try to be patient while I worked, which was a bit of a challenge. He loved getting to see more of his friends from the church nursery and had to get in on some of the fun of making a silly face, which at this point as you can see for him means sticking out his tongue.

Here are just a few of the families I got to photograph. So much fun getting to know all of you a bit more!

Switching Over
My new domain name and site are somewhat up and running-- any Flash masters out there? So, I have begun the unenviable task of transferring links, galleries so that current and past clients will be easily able to find their photographs. If you are a former client, hopefully this will be a painless process, but soon you will no longer be able to find your photos at my domain-less shutterfly site. I am excited about the end result, but the process takes a while. Soon all of your photos wll be listed on my gallery site and you will be able to purchase prints a la carte, protect your images from prying eyes via password- or share them with everyone from Cousin Phil to Great Aunt Gladys.
So please bear with me while I work on this and still try to have time for my family, friends and church!

Evan's One Year Session: Twin Cities Children's Photography
While this session took place back in the beginning of the summer, I am nly just now getting around to blogging about it. Sometimes I wish that I could just magically have things posted here and to my Facebook Fan Page and I could simply concentrate on the actual photography and skip the "bragging," but unfortunately I cannot afford a personal assistant at this phase in the game.
Evan has been one of my best clients over this past year since his birth. His mom and I know each other through a mother's group, and our sons are nearly the same age, and so when she contacted me about doing Evan's one-year shoot, I jumped at the chance to see her and him again. After one rain-out day, we decided to brave one of the hottest and most humid days of the summer thus far to get the shoot in before the next storm. Evan was such a great subject despite the heat and teething to boot. It was great to see how he had grown and changed since our last session as well!
