RevealDesign Product Shots-- Minneapolis Product Photography

I am excited to announce another Etsy product photography client-- RevealDesign-- who actually hails from Minneapolis as well, but was found through Etsy.  RevealDesign creates upcycled furniture such as coffee tables using old washbasin legs, and my personal favorite, cutting boards made from Minneapolis trees that have fallen due to storm damage and feature antique collanders set into the piece.

I am excited to begin working with him. Due to the time that it takes to create each unique piece of furniture, I will be working on a piece by piece basis.  I can't wait to begin work!

IrishWoolen's Product Shots-- Minneapolis Product Photography

I am delighted to announce a new customer of Carrie Weston Photography-- IrishWoolen of Etsy.  She is a knitter from Dublin who creates sweaters for babies and children.  Formerly a knitter for the traditional retail market, she is now venturing out into the world of Etsy and has contracted me to handle the product photography.

It is always a delight to work with a fellow Etsian, and I can already feel the soft wool of the baby sweaters in my hands!  Be sure to check out her shop,  IrishWoolen is just getting started, but is sure to have a bustling store soon.

Faith CRC Christmas Tea-- Minneapolis Event Photography

I was recently asked by Tracy, the leader of GEMS (the girls' group at Faith) to take the photos for the annual Ladies Christmas Tea.  I had a blast; it was great to get to shoot so many different groupings of mothers/ daughter and friends and of such a wide variety of ages.

I think for some of the ladies this was one of the few opportunites of the holiday season to sit down and enjoy the presence of their daughters and friends where they were not responsible for food, presents, transportation, relatives, schedules, etc.  It was great to be part of the pampering and to help them feel appreciated and loved.

Kiddie Kandids Bankruptcy Discount- Minnesota Children's Photography

In a sudden decision that left employees and customers alike stranded, Kiddie Kandids- photography studios commonly found in Babies R' Us stores-- declared chapter 7 bankruptcy last week.

This has left many families with their photographs stranded in limbo and likely never to be found again, even for those who have already paid for prints.  Many families cannot afford to simply go to another studio for a reshoot. So Carrie Weston Photography has decided to offer a discount for these stranded families in the Minneapolis area.

If you can offer proof-- a reciept, gift certificate or other proof that you have been photos or unreimbursed studio fees from Kiddie Kandids I am offering a:

Free Sitting Fee (One Hour on location or in my home studio)
One free 8 x 10 photograph of your choosing
15% dicount on all prints.

I cannot bring back the photos that are missing or capture those unique moments that are gone, but I feel so badly for all of the families affected by the Kiddie Kandids Bankruptcy and hope to capture new moments.  (Or recreate those Christmas pictures of your Little One's first Christams which are missing.)
